Torridon & Kinlochewe Mountain Rescue Team.
The call-out list currently numbers almost 30 volunteers. They come from a variety of backgrounds, which includes: stalkers, crofters, fishermen, fish- farm workers, doctors, a mechanic, teachers, and employees of major land-owners in the area particularly: Scottish Natural Heritage and the National Trust for Scotland The main Mountain Rescue post is at located centrally at Torridon Youth Hostel. Subsidiary posts are located at the SNH office at Kinlochewe, and at Achnashellach.
